The Wiggly Tooth

Laugh and Learn with Mrs. Thomas and her Kindergarten Class

Reading & Books

Where do you like to read? After snack, students have an opportunity to read books. They are beginning to explore and use positive reading behaviours such as looking at the book, sharing a book with others, using picture clues to figure out what’s happening in the book, talking about what’s happening and ‘reading’ the pictures. Students are free to enjoy books in a variety of places around the classroom, as long as they are engaged in a book.

Zero The Hero

Zero The Hero

Zero The Hero

Meet our superhero, Zero the Hero. This puppy visits our classroom to celebrate being in school every 10 days. He is a true hero because he helps all the other numbers by saving a place for them. Without Zero, the number 10 would just be 1. Thanks Zero! We look forward to seeing you in another ten days.

Each night, Bailey Bear travels with one student to their home for a sleepover. When Bailey Bear returns to school the next day, that student is the special helper for the entire day. I wonder what exciting adventures you will have with Bailey.
